GRADES is an innovative training and work experience programme designed for Graduates who want to get ahead in the job market by improving their skills and widening their overall perspectives. The programme places graduates in work experience with companies based in either Hungary or Malta for 16 weeks. GRADES differs from other work experience programmes though because graduates will be undertaking specific tasks around sustainable business development and corporate social responsibility, thereby providing a real service to the company.

What kind of support will graduates get on the programme?

You will receive training in sustainable business practice from the University of Stirling and Forward Scotland prior to your placement

On arrival to Malta or Hungary, our hosting partner will link you up with accommodation and will introduce you to your placement company and the English speaking mentor allocated to you

All travel costs will be covered and you will receive a weekly allowance to cover your living expenses

On return you will get help and support from Forward Scotland to help you move into permanent employment
How many places are available?
There are a total of 30 places available on this programme, equally distributed between Hungary and Malta and spread out over three placement periods outlined below
1st - January - June 2008
2nd - June - November 2008
3rd- January - May 2009
Eligibility

You must have graduated prior to the placement period commencing

You must hold a valid passport and be prepared to travel and live in either Hungary or Malta for the duration of the placement without Visa requirements

You must be living in the UK at the time of application
